MY LIFE SUCKS!
I bet that you have said this at some point in your life or you have heard something like this before. You more than likely have also said,
“I am so Stressed out!”
“This house is a reck! I just cleaned it!” or
“I just need a break!”
Well, I am here to tell you that You. Are. Not. Alone.
In this article I will tell you about ways that have helped me to relax. I hope that they are able to help you in the same way, or at least give you an idea of what would help you. These suggestions do not require ANY type of Medication.
The First way that I found to relax is to let off STEAM!
I have found that exercise has helped me be able to me get my body feeling better and helped my mind grow sharper. The Yoga app I use, is called ‘Daily Yoga’, https://apps.apple.com/us/app/daily-yoga-yoga-for-fitness/id545849922, I make a payment to use once a year.’ The app had me start out slowly, and it has me advancing in intensity, with different exercises every day.
My personalized schedule will guide me through poses that will push me and make my breath quicken, even sweat. But after every session, no matter how hard the day was. I don’t feel as bad after a workout and feel lighter than before, because I let the day go.
When I was thinking about what I wanted this article to be about, I was taking some time to have my coffee. Thinking about my options. After my first round of Yoga, I decided to write on the topic that has been my own struggle for so long.
After I got into Yoga with my app, I have been able to take a good look at my life. It was something that I was able to do in the comfort of my own home. It got me to focus and be more motivated to make moves in my life to be happier.
After I took a good long look at my life, and how I wanted it to go, I decided that I wanted to be a Writer.
I am not saying that Yoga is the cure-all, because it is not.
There are a wide variety of different Workout apps out there and some you may pay for, some that are for free. I personally have found that Workout apps are better to sharpen the mind, it gets the blood moving and keeps the body strong.
I personally feel that the apps are better than going to a gym in some ways.
You are at your house.
Doing it at your convenience.
It is easier to commit to something if you make it convenient for you.
Since you won’t always be able go to the gym, for whatever reason. But you CAN squeeze Ten-to-Twenty minutes in after work or before bed to help relax somedays.
If you don’t want to do a workout app, there are other options available to you that will help give you some, ME TIME.
- Reading Apps/ Books
- Play on any Gaming Console
- Watching your favorite Movies/ Shows
Just to name a few.
Relaxing is not a science. You know you best! Your Hobbies, Interests, Likes, and Dislikes.
Your interests can set you free!
The Second thing that I have found to be helpful, is much harder than the first.
It’s finding time for yourself.
No matter how long it is, it can help you so much in the end.
Taking a few minutes for yourself in the morning to drink your coffee, before heading off to work, can put you in a better frame of mind. To be able to go about with what you need to handle for the day, with a new perspective.
I have also found that taking time to go on a vacation here and there will REALLY help to reset your state of mind.
It’s important to take a day or two to get yourself renewed and begin your next hurdle in life!
If you take off to the beach on Friday afternoon, and you leave the next day. You still don’t need to be home or anywhere when you become free from home life.
Your body can relax because it is just you and the waves at that point. With a small vacation things are completely on your time. There is no need to rush anything.
If you don’t completely unplug from life every-so-often, or whatever is stressful for you, even for just a few moments.
You are going to Crash! and Crash Hard!
When you take a moment to just Let It Go, you can look at your life in a different light.
Finally, putting everything in a more manageable aspect.
Planning a trip to go somewhere familiar or a new destination, once or twice a year, is always a promising idea to relieve stress. With the excitement of the upcoming trip, you may find yourself more energized, because of all of the anticipation, as it comes closer to the time of departure.
As you leave, don’t think about the House, Work, or your normal everyday Life.
The thing about the vacation idea is…
You don’t need to do a Family event. You are able to go on a Girls/Guys vacation.
Even if it is just a Night out on the Town, is an effective way to get reset.
These are just some of the many things that you can do to help to relieve stress.
